Vintage 1935 candlelight satin & lace wedding gown + gloves, Size S. This beautiful candlelight satin and lace gown was worn by my grandmother in 1935. I'd like this gown to have another chance to make someone's wedding special -- maybe yours?The gown features a gently draped cowl neck, a "v" shaped contrast in the bust area, and lace at the puffed shoulders. One dozen fabric-covered buttons fasten it in the back for a flattering fit. Sweet rosettes on either side of the waist... in the back. Each sleeve features a hidden snap at the inside cuff. All materials are original to the dress.It's been lovingly stored away in my grandmother's cedar-lined hope chest all these years. No fraying at the hem or cuffs and no holes; some discoloration in the armpit area and a slight stain on the front skirt, but nothing distracting.The darling gloves with striping and button details are in great vintage condition; one has some yellowing toward the cuff.Laying flat, the gown measures 58" from shoulder to hem, 14" at the waist; 18" at the bust, and 22" from the armpit to the pointed cuff.
