Shown is a wonderful fully lined red silk sheath cocktail dress tailor-made in 1960's China. The richness of fabric and attractive cut of this sheath-style dress are reminiscent of Jacqueline Kennedy's 1960's style; but with gracious Asian flair! The red silk dress is accented with cream-colored piping and fully lined in cream-colored silk. Hand stitched silk piping enhances design lines and finish. T...he mandarin collar is properly formed to stand upright. The dressmaker added extra darts to both sides of the dress for enhanced form & fit. (Please note (2) darts on both the front chest and upper back.) There is one side zipper which is about 11 & 1/2" Long on the right side. There are also hand sewn snaps which begin by the collar and continue diagonally part way across chest and back. Finally, there is a 7" side slit on both sides of the dress which further enhance the silk lining and fine quality of this vintage frock.The fit is medium or an approximate size 8.
