1940 ' S Composition Madame Alexander Wendy Ann Bride Doll 14 " Incised Neck

This circa 1940's Madame Alexander composition doll stands 14" tall. She is incised on the back of her neck Mme Alexander. Her composition is very good apart from a left ankle chip, and her inside fingers on her left hand has a couple of small craze lines. Her face has very fine crazing that I can only see up close with a magnifier. This may be true of the rest of her body also. If there is crazing it is so fine that it can only be seen with a magnifier. She is odor-free. Her stringing... is loose & will need replacing. Her blue sleep eyes open & close with ease. She has lovely grey eye shadow and her eyebrows & lip color are perfect. Her upper hair lashes are all present as are her lower painted lashes. Her reddish mohair glued on wig is in good condition with what I believe are the original hair pins in place on the spit curls, in her original hair do. Her dress is untagged, but I believe it is original to her as it fits her perfect, and closes with the square snaps that are original to Madame Alexander clothing. The sleeves each have a snap closure also, to allow for easy on & off of the dress. The dress is satin beneath a top layer of netting & trimmed with white daisy-like petals at the neckline, sleeves, and bottom hemline. I see only one small tare on the bodice that I've shown in a picture, and it does have age appropriate yellowing. Her panties are original I may have missed a minor detail or flaw but I've tried to tell all.
