PERFECT, HIGH QUALITY ROYAL DOULTONEnglish Decorative Ceramic/Porcelain TOBY JUGS, "OLD KING COLE”DESCRIPTION: Wonderful Royal Doulton Decorative Toby Jug depicting "OLD KING COLE". This is one of the nicest toby figures made, with a particularly interesting face, etc.. A really unusual and different subject and look vs. many other typical English tobys. "OLD KING COLE" is written into his back. Top is open like they all are.This was part of a large estate collection.... In absolutely perfect mint condition, with no wear, chips, cracks, or repairs. As nice as the day it was made! Nice bright, natural colors. Beautiful detail in his face and clothes. Painting and the quality of the facial details are especially impressive. The colors appear slightly muted and washed out in my attached scans, due to reflection of light off the glossy ceramic finish. Colors of the piece are actually fuller, brighter and warmer than they appear, and the scans are just intended to be indicative.This is a medium size piece, standing about 3 1/2" high.
