Vintage Rare 1959 Madame Alexander 36" Janie Doll w/slip and 2 dresses. She has no socks or shoes.
She is in good "as found" condition with light marks, scratches, discolorations, and general body wear. Her face and body could use a good cleaning.
Her face has a few marks on the sides. They might clean up. Her blush might be a little faded, otherwise her face paint looks pretty good. Her blue sleep eyes work without issue.
Her hair is shiny and thick. It is currently held bac...k with a hair band. It's a little frizzy looking and could use combing and a little styling.
Her fingernails were painted but the color is almost completely faded away.
She has black marks or dirt around her arm sockets and the arms are strung a bit loose. She can stand, her arms just won't pose.
The blue dress might be original but there is no tag. It is dingy. The built in "white" slip inside has lots of staining and discoloration. The sleeves have lots of moth holes. The body and skirt of the dress have a few too. The 2 top snaps in the back are detached on one side. The dress seems really tight on her. Perhaps that's why the snaps came off. When I bought her, the dress was being held on by the ribbon ties alone.
Her slip is a vintage girls size 3. It has some small snags and a few moth holes as well.
She is wearing a pair of panties that are size 4 and a little baggy on her. They are heavily discolored and could use cleaning.
The pink dress is in very good condition. It is a vintage girls dress. It's tagged, "Original jean durain, Hollywood California". It has pearl buttons. The ribbon at the collar is pinned on. There is a very small dark pink mark on one sleeve.
