Antique Child's Toy Porcelain Creamer ~ Hand Painted NIPPON ~ with Image of solider carrying an American USA Flag and 2 soldiers in the background.For being a piece of "children's play toy" in the early 1900's this piece is in very good condition. There are no chips, cracks, damage or repairs. The only flaw is some of the gold gilt on the top edge and handle is fading at spots and showing wear. (see photo 12). The blue marking on the bottom is somewhat blurred but it looks like HA...ND PAINTED in an arched position over a 1/2 rise sunset and the word NIPPON underneath. (see photo 6). Also what looks like those black marks on the bottom of the creamer in photo 6 is actually some gold gilt paint splatter. Measures 1 7/8" tall x 2 3/4' (spout to handle) x 2 1/4" diameter on bottom. Weighs 2.5 ounces (prior to packaging)I buy most of my pieces at auctions, flea markets & yard sales so I don't know the history of the item. I am not an antique dealer or expert.
