1940s Mens Suit / 40s Navy Blue Double Breasted Wool Gangster Suit / Men’s Small
Features:• 1940s Navy blue suit. JACKET • Double Breasted. • Large peaked lapels.• Handkerchief pocket on left breast. • 2 Straight cut waist pockets.• 4 buttons at each wrist. • Straight fit. • Built in shoulder pads. • Single needle tailoring.
PANTS• High waist with hidden suspender buttons on inside. • Metal zipper fly front. • 2 front pockets. • Pleated front wit...h center crease. • Wide leg with 1 3/4” cuff at hem. • 2 back pockets with center button on left side. • Material: feels like worsted wool / pants not lined. Arms lined. • Circa early 1940s. Judging by the zipper.
Measurements:Taken laying flat and doubled where necessary Best fit men's small possibly snug Medium, but these are precise measurements. JACKET Chest- 38” Length- 27” Arm Length- 23 1/2” Shoulders- 18”
PANTS Waist- 30” Hips- 44” Length- 40 1/2” Inseam- 29 1/4” Rise- 12 1/2” Hem Width- 9” across Cuff- 1 3/4”

Condition:Good vintage condition with minor starch marks on pockets of pants ( heavily pressed and very hard to detect unless scrutinizing. You’d be hard pressed to find another this clean) but overall good vintage condition with that being the only flaw. Also, you might want to have dry cleaned as it was found in a basement.
Thankfully this suit was stored in a garment bag for the past 60+ years which helped keep the the moths away but there is a slight vintage smell. I would recommend buyer having Suit dry cleaned but we will do our best to help minimize any odors.
