Up for auction is this original "V Invest" WWI Poster, great original WWI poster with nice color illustration, published by The Strobridge Litho Co., Cincinnati, bottom left corner marked 3-C, no copyright date found but we think circa 1918, we found the following information online:
World War I propaganda poster advertising the issue of "Liberty Loans", war bonds used to support the Allied cause. full-color poster, a depiction of an enormous letter "V" (for victory) in blue ...on a red field, over the exhortation: "Invest". The poster is labeled "3-C" at bottom left, with the publishing line "The Strobridge Litho. Co. Cincinnati" at bottom left.
Poster size appx 19 1/2" x 29 1/4".
Condition: Poster shows heavy edge and corner wear, light soiling mostly around edges, some edge/corner creases/tears/chips, A FEW SMALL TEARS/CHIPS IN ILLUSTRATION, old tape repair at bottom that has torn, light musty/smoky smell due to poor storage. Overall: Poster is Fair to near G.
