Original Description:
Listed today is an antique Weber Costello Co globe on a beautiful wooden stand. The globe measures 12". It shows the dates of Antartica explorers Mundsen (1911) and Scott (1912) but nothing after that. I noticed that Byrd (1929) is normally listed on globes as well so I'm assuming this was before 1929. The globe has damage as shown in pics - seems to be made of paper mache type material, not metal. The floor stand is beautiful and stands 33" tall x 15" wide. Metal bronze colored full r...ing around the globe in great condition. Stand has been repaired in a couple of places but overall it looks great. Thanks for looking.
