Antique 18ct gold amethyst & diamond bow brooch, owned and worn by Mirka Mora.
Country of origin: European. Possibly French.Age: Early 20th century.
Size: 12.70 grams.
Manufacturer: Unknown - handmade. Hallmarks are illegible (tests for 18k).
Condition: Very good original condition. Some small diamonds are missing and there is a small dent to the... gold. I have left the choice to clean for the new owner.Comments: An exceptional quality piece, owned and used by the esteemed artist Mirka Mora.Mirka was one of the most famous Australian Artists of the 20th century, owning and operating art galleries, cafes, restaurants and studios in Melbourne throughout the 20th century. Her friendship circle extended to Australian artist royalty including Charles Blackman and Arthur Boyd. Many of the pieces from her estate sold for thousands of dollars in a recent auction.
