This auction is for a vintage c1950's M. I. Hummel "Apple Tree Boy" Table Lamp featuring a young boy sitting on a limb in an apple tree with a bird perched on a limb below him. This lamp is stamped on the back with Hummel in script. I can't see anything stamped on the bottom of it. It measures approximately 10" Tall without the shade. It appears to be in good working condition for age and illuminutes when switched on but the switch is kind of hard to switch on and off an...d may just need a new one put on to make it easier to turn on and off. There also may have been a repair as I see some clear glue around the boys neck in the front that goes around to the back but I can't tell where it was cracked or broken and the glue seems to have covered whatever the issue was and it's not very detectable unless you are really looking for it. It also may need a better cleaning as it is in it's original state as found and I didn't want to do any damage to it by doing any heavy cleaning to it. I'm unsure of the age of the shade but it appears to be in good, clean condition. I will not ship it with the lightbulb in it to risk breakage of it in shipping. Please feel free to ask any and all questions about the lamp prior to bidding. I truly do not know anything about Hummel figurines or markings so am just doing my best to describe it as I see it. Please feel free to ask for any additional photos of the lamp. I tried taking photos in all different lightings to give the best view. Please note.. if you don't want the lampshade with the lamp, it may ship for less depending upon your location and I can provide a shipping quote without it upon your request.
