It has a veryuniq...ue pattern in the leather and the patina is beautiful. It matches the camera at the American History Museumin Washington. Some of the stitchingon the case will need to be restitched. The case is still verysolid and the case comes with its original matchingleather strap and buckles.
Bell & Howell introduced their Eyemo 35mm movie
camera in 1925 after the successful release of
the 16mm Filmo camera the previous year.
The Eyemo was an instant success because of
its relatively compact size, high-quality lens,
and a 35mm film size. The camera is capable
of shooting at 16, 24, or 32 fps which at the
time 24 fps was the new Hollywood standard. Actually 24 fpsis still the movie standard for film.

Please note - This camera is about 95 years old and
is in excellent condition in my opinion. It has areaswhere the original paint has worn off and in some places has
chipped off. The best thing going for the camera
is that it is virtually free of corrosion since it was
used almost exclusively in the dry climate of the
Southwestern United States. The original owner tookexceptional care of all his equipment.
***The lens is one of the best I've ever seen this age from the famous Taylor-Hobson Cooke
lens company in England.
I have not tested the camera with film but I've cleaned
and inspected every square inch of it inside and out.
The winding mechanism is not currently working. It will
need to be serviced to be able to use the camera again. It may bea simple fix like the trigger release needs adjustment orit may need the main spring adjusted (common repair).
Since I am a camera collector and not a camera
repairman I'll leave that to a professional or yourself.

The lens is in excellent condition with only a few
dust and dirt specs visible under bright light.
I see no significant cleaning marks that would degradethe performance of the lens, no scratches or other damage, and
no fungus or mold. As I've said, it's amazing just how corrosion freethis lens and camera are.
The aperture blades are oil-free and move smoothly.
The focus is also smooth.
What you'll get.
The camera, the lens and lens hood, the leather case
with its strap, two 35mm film spools, the handle and
hand strap, and the set of small accessories.
This is a historic camera in the development
of motion picture cameras and I can't stress enough
just how rare it is to have a complete all-original set
in this condition.
*This camera is from the large photogear collection
of noted New Mexico writer and photographer
Ken Cobean who has had his work published
in Time, National Geographic, and Life magazines
among others.
Only one other owner before myself and this lovely
camera comes from a smoke and pet free home.
I mail daily and I package items very securely and will
include insurance and tracking. It's a very heavy camera setwhen boxed so plan accordingly when looking at the shipping andpackaging costs.
