Three original black & white photographs of August Derleth and Donald Wandrei. From the personal collection of Donald Wandrei, the first two photographs (5 1/2 by 3 1/2 inches each) shows two different poses and views of Derleth and Wandrei leaning against a car with a building in the background. Charming images of the two s...miling men in relaxed poses with good detail. Wandrei has indicated on the back that they were taken in 1958. The other photograph (3 1/2 by 3 inches) dated 1955 shows Derleth and Wandrei laughing in an outdoor scene. Both men were writers of horror and fantasy fiction and are the founders of Arkham House, the landmark publishing of weird and horror fantasy fiction. Photographs of these two great friends are rare.
