Beautiful LOON Mask A real gorgeous piece of Indigenous Art by master artistDavid M. Knox from the Kwakiulth First Nation.Another incredible piece of Indigenous Art from the Pacific Northwest Coast of Canada! Guaranteed authentic - acquired from Artist direct! Cedar, traditional colors, lots of cedar bark. Very niceexpression, the eyes are decorated with copper, the face shows thecopper tongue, just an impressive piece - large, detailed, clean lines, deepcarving, everything y...ou can ask for in a Mask from the First Nations.Measurements: approx. 25" x 12" x 8 1/2" (64 x 30 x 21.5 cm) The Artist: David Mungo Knox is a member of the Kwakiulth First Nations.He is the great-grandson of Chief Mungo Martin and comes from a great line ofHereditary Chiefs, Master carvers and skilled dancers. He started his carvingcareer by learning from his uncle Chief Tony Hunt Sr. in 1991 as well as hiscousin Tom Hunt. His goal is to carry on the family tradition - preserving theKwakiulth culture. David lives and works in village of Fort Rupert, BC. Ihad the pleasure of meeting David in person and am honoured to call him myfriend.
