Here, for your consideration, is a very nice Vox Shadow with neck date stamp 1964/. It is fully original although there are a few bridge /tailpiece holes that show there was a different tailpiece on it at one time. They are pretty well disguised with touch-up paint and are next to the correct tailpiece mounting. It is the actual Vox labeled vibrato that was original to this guitar. It is a fine example and in very good condition. It is al fully functional and there are no known issues ...with controls, hardware, pickups, neck frets, tuners, Vox decal, body or pickguard. The original lacquer has the typical finish checking seen on Voxs of this age. Action is low and fretting excellent. It is real easy to play and the 3 pickups are all working as they should. The lever switch selects each of the pickups individually but there is no combining available. The case is probably what was purchased with the guitar when new. It shows age and has wear but still actually works and shows tons of history. It also features and big sticker which is probably permanently affixed by now. Along with this is some case candy bonus of extra vintage strings at least 1 whole set NOS Black Diamond and LaBella. Also an original polishing cloth. I did a light cleaning on the guitar and the case so they are now clean. This guitar really doesn't show much play wear but there are a few light scratches from strumming and handling it. But it is much better shape than average for this year. I am a hobbyist and I love old guitars. Having worked in guitar repair many years ago I buy older guitars of interest, clean, repair if needed and set up to play. I keep some and sell others. This guitar is being offered as-is due to its age and having been used. . Please inspect all images and ask questions you may have before making purchase or bid.
