This is a Great book and is a must have with the RARE Maps book. This book contains 2 large fold out maps. *The maps are in very poor condition and are very fragile but are complete (again this is a R...ARE find). They could be professionally backed. The maps measure about 30" x 60". One fold of each of the maps was attached to either the front board or back board.
The book is in very good condition. It has very sought after beautiful marbled boards with leather corners and leather spine. The leather spine has beautiful raised bands, an embossed pattern, and gold lettering. The marbled paper has rubbing and chipping. The leather corners have rubbing. The spine is chipped on the front top and bottom corner. The binding is tight. The front and back end papers are the same marbled paper as the front and back boards and is in excellent condition. Page 143 is torn from the binding at the top 2 1/2" of the page, the tear does not affect the print. The other pages are in very good condition. It is complete with all plates and fold out maps.
