Thisis a rare Ronson 1930s Touch Tip clock lighter, as used by HumphreyBogart in “The Maltese Falcon”.Thelighter is in used vintage condition, with many scratches, areas ofworn plating, and discolouration. I think some of the brown areasmay be nicotine rather than rust. I have not tried to polish orrestore it, leaving those decisions to the buyer. Unfortunately, theoriginal wand is missing – but functional replicas are available onEbay at reasonable cost.&...nbsp; The fuel reservoir is completely empty. Ihave not tried to operate the lighter, and I do not know if it willstill produce a flame – please assume that it will need repair workas well as restoration.Whenthese lighters occasionally come up for sale, the clock is usuallybroken. But here, very rarely, the clock is in fully working condition. It winds and adjusts, although a little “sticky”, and runs for about 26 hours on a full wind. It keepsreasonable time for a vintage clock, losing around 4-5 minutesper day. I expect that there is probablynicotine in the works, so a professional clean & lubricate service may improvethe accuracy. The crystal and/or dial are rather yellowed - again I suspect this is nicotine staining on the inside, so it may be possible to clean them during a service.Myphotos are part of the description.
