** Unbound [No binding]. Lacking The main title and Sigs A2-A4 [6pp of the prelims]. All other pages present 1-88. Scarce Astrology. With Woodcuts to text. 17.8cm x 12.2cm. [ESTC R18661] Setting 1. The ’B’ of signature B1 is beneath the ’ve’ of ’traversing’; internal title page, line 9 of title, the word ’Sun’ is set in Roman types; last line of text on page 79 ends, "... must be found out.".**
William Lilly (11 May [O.S. 1 May] 1602 – 9 June 1681) was a seventeenth century English astrologer. He is described as having been a genius at something "that modern mainstream opinion has since decided cannot be done at all" having developed his stature as the most important astrologer in England through his social and political connections as well as going on to have an indelible impact on the future course of Western astrological tradition.

Disbound [without binding] The first leaf loose and chipped to the margins [no loss to text]. Light staining to the lower margins. Occasional closely shaved margin [no loss to text]. A charming ink illustration [period] to the back leaf of a mans head. The last leaf also chipped to the margins. overall browning to the pages. Gatherings/quires attache by bindings twine to the upper gutter.
