VINTAGE 1929-1931 CHEVY RADIATOR CAP WINGED SPHINX VIKING HOOD ORNAMENT - Hard to Find, Rare and Collectible. Please note the right wing was expertly repaired and is now straight, strong, solid and ridged as new (see pictures). Some smoothing of the inner wing was necessary as part of the repair process. That said in my opinion it doesn't detract from the interesting and beautiful design of the piece. I Paid over 300 including repair. ... The Cap consists of two pieces connected by a working hinge, it does show its age but definitely has that antique patina. It opens smoothly and tightens down solidly, its all original except the new screw that hold the closing toggle latch down (see pictures). Displays beautifully, stored in my clean non-smoking home. Look at the pictures and ask me any questions, I value my 100% feedback score - so I want to be sure the buyer loves this Radiator Cap and is happy with the purchase.
