ANTIQUE CLAY BRICK ANCHOR BRICK Co @1888 raised anchor marker's mark rare find. Brick Makers after 1900 placed their maker's mark within an indentation on the brick to identify a pallet of bricks, like a calling card. The Anchor Brick Co., was only in business from 1888 to 1895, and was located in the Croton-on-the Hudson landing area. The clay was left over in great abundance from the receding glaciers. These three bricks were salvaged from a demolition site in New York state. Please examine the bricks carefully. Please know that you will receive a brick that is very similar to the photos but not necessarily in the photos. The ANCHOR Maker's Mark is very distinct.
