Vintage 1982 Ibanez Artist AR-50BK MIJ Electric Guitar Black HB PickupsVintage 1982 Ibanez Artist AR-50. This was the "working man's" guitar in the high-end Artist series. Carved maple-topped mahogany body, 24 3/4" scale 3-ply birch neck, rosewood board, original Gibraltar bridge and quick-change tailpiece. Significant finish and play wear, but the guitar plays and sounds great! See photos.Ibanez pickups were replaced at some point with generic PAFs that d...idn't sound all that good, so I replaced them with Epiphone Probuckers with coil split. Pickup covers are custom raw unplated nickel. This guitar sounds fabulous and plays exceptionally well with low action. Original "tin-can shielding tanks are still in place in the control and output jack cavities. The medium-jumbo frets were recently crowned, leveled and polished and have plenty of wear left in them. Has original VelveTune tuners, but you may want to replace them, as they're worn.Ships with non-original hardshell case.
