Up for sale today is a very rare RCA type 77DX microphone. This is from a local estate and is in need of a restoration. These are getting harder and harder to find, so here is your opportunity on an original example. Cosmetically, it has marks, scratches and pitting on the case. The metal windscreen over the element has dents and paint loss. In the middle section, it has chips on the backside. Bottom shows some surface pitting, and base has some rust spots. I believe the base to be new...er then the microphone as it is stamped made in Taiwan on the bottom. The threads on the microphone show wear, and it is missing one of the two larger washers that fits in the holder. This microphone deserves a full restoration, or display as is. I tested it using direct leads to the element and found it to work. It has sat for many years in cold storage and would recommend a full rebuild before use. The brown cord has cracks and should be replaced. Folks, photos are part of the description. Please view ALL photos before bidding. I have shipped many high dollar vintage audio pieces, and can guarantee this will be properly packed. US shipping will be done by Fedex, and international orders can go out USPS Priority or Fedex Economy. The microphone will be double boxed, and properly packed for safe delivery.
