VERY RARE CHINESE BRONZE BUDDHIST FU LION FIGURE SCROLL WEIGHT MING QING DYNASTYJOANIES NO RESERVE FINE ASIAN ARTS ESTATE AUCTION! Hello, Many Thanks for viewing our auctions!
Joanies is very excited to be offering a fine and rare selection of Ming and pre Ming ceramics and other interesting objects including examples from the important estate collection of the late Mr. Pao. We have offered several items from this collection over the past couple years and have now been asked to of...fer the remaining pieces. Mr Pao was a personal friend and was highly respected as a knowledgable scholarly collector and Chinese art dealer during the 1960-90s period. Mr. Pao owned a high end Chinese art gallery in the prestigious Four Seasons hotel in Toronto that has been closed for around 20 years now. The sale also includes an important set of five early Ming dynasty Buddhist emblems that were deaccessioned by the Royal Ontario Museum c1969.
A number of the items being offered from the collection were scheduled to be sent to New Yorks’s high end auctions, but due to large sale delays and other issues this year the estate had asked us to offer All the remaining items. A great and rare opportunity to acquire some investment-grade examples. This will be our Last large Asian art offering of the winter season.

Up for auction is a VERY RARE CHINESE BRONZE BUDDHIST FU LION FIGURE SCROLL WEIGHT MING QING DYNASTY. A fine and we believe rarely found Ming dynasty bronze figure riding fu lion beast scroll weight. This weight has many interesting and finely detailed aspects. The weigh came from the estate with this nice fitted hardwood display stand that compliments and displays the weigh nicely. As our estate sales have run online for 18 years now this unique examples is being offered Without Reserve!
Condition: Estate-fresh, fine unaltered original condition for its antique age as seen. The stand is also in fien condition.
Size: The weight measures 2 3/4 inches long by 1 3/4 inches wide and 1 1/2 inches tall, or 2 1/4 inches tall including the display stand. The weight weighs 185 grams.
