Another crystal radio from my collection. Over the next several weeks I will selling off my collection of antique crystal and tube radios, which I have been collecting for more than 25 years. This one is a rare and interesting vintage Navy-style loose coupler crystal set with 2 slides on the main coil and a coil tap selector at the end of the inner coil (see photos). It has its original cat's whisker detector and galena crystal. It is so well made, I cannot determine ...if it's professionally manufactured or homebrew, but it's very impressive to display. It's huge and heavy, and measures 13" x 8" x 6" (high). A nice addition to any collection, plus, I will include a pair of "Tower Scientific Navy Type" headphones from the same period. I haven't tested it in years, but it's in pristine original condition and should work. No reserve. Good luck.
