This vintage Al Mar knife is just out of long-term storage and is perfect for the serious collector.
We were sales reps. for the Mar's in 11 Western states for approximately 12 years.
Here's a very nice example of an early #5002 Roadrunner fixed blade with the desirable, short-lived USA Seki-Japan tang stamp.
It is essentially a brand new 35+ year old knife that was never carried, used, sharpened, or sold at retail.
Note that this is a non-catal...og Black Micarta version of the Roadrunner that was used in the impressive steak knife sets so it is probably tough to find on its own.
It features a 3 1/2" mirror finished flat ground blade in premium RS-30 stainless
7 1/4" OAL
Elegant tapered blade tang for great balance
Polished Black Micarta scales
Brass guard, pins, and lanyard tube
No sheath or box as this was an office display piece.
