Antique Victorian mourning pin / brooch from the 1800’s.
Interesting piece. Simple design. I do not know what the centerpiece is made of, could be jet, glass, gutta percha, or some other material. It's not my area so I really can't say for certain. The back shines as if it has some kind of lacquer treatment. Brooch was found at a flea market in Germany.
Good vintage condition, with some surface wear including some small scuffs on the center piece (tough to photograp...h but you can maybe see some of it if you zoom in on the photos). Please review photos carefully and ask any questions before bidding.
