California Native American covered basket bowl Hupa Yurok Kurok ex. Skinner Auction 2506, Lot 505, May 15, 2010. Circa 1900. Very finely woven lidded form with dark brown geometric bands. Spruce root, bear grass. Knob on lid has been repaired. 5 1/2" H, 5 1/2" Dia. This delicate basket will be double boxed and shipped insured. This basket is fresh to the market from a private collection. Please see my other auctions for additional baskets. ****** if the repair to the top is an issue fo...r you just consider the basket on it's own merits. Many of these baskets had tops which were lost or damaged over time. The top is a bonus ******
