Outstanding Southwestern Native American Indian, multi-stone inlay Sterling silver bolo tie hallmarked BOONE by the Zuni artist. This may be an early Alex Boone piece, prior to his marriage to Marylita, when they began working together and signing their jewelry "Alex & Marylita Boone Zuni". This large, vintage bolo showcases a beautiful stone-on-stone mosaic inlaid with turquoise, jet, coral, and mother of pearl. The mosaic is set in a smooth bezel wrapped in a twisted ribbon frame.... The cord grip is clip style and stamped BENNETT PAD PEND, which means it was most likely crafted between 1967-1983. This piece weighs a total of 90 grams. The slide is approximately 3 1/2" tall by 2 3/4" wide. The cord shows some signs of wear. It's roughly 39 1/2" long, including the tips 3 5/16" tips with dangles inlaid in a similar pattern and set in the same way as the pendant.The tips have no dents but the top of both tips have some silver deposits, so they may have been repaired before.
