Nicely manufactured, crystal radio wireless set dating to 1923 or 1924.  Manufactured by "Radiax".  Nickel-plated brass fittings.  Polished mahogany case, measures approx. 10 x 7 x 8 inches. Tapped inductance coil plus variable condenser (capacitor) type tuner. Ebonite panel. Terminals for two pairs of headphones and aerial, antenna and earth, ground.  "Long" "short" wavelength switch.  Wonderful micrometer style cat's whisker / ga...lena detector with glass enclosure.  Excellent condition. See photos as these are part of the description. A good example of a radio from the dawn of domestic radio broadcasting in the home.  Almost 100 years old!  Looks to be all complete.  I see no reason why this could not be working, but sold as a collector's display item. All original condition.  Sold untested as a collector item.Price reflects rarity of this model.  Owner downsizing a lifetime collection of quality wireless and telegraphy apparatus.
