Old School Schwinn Stingray Banana Seat Muscle Bike In as found original condition.Built in Chicago, 1980Serial# AR....... on head tube.Single speed Bendix coaster brake Nice Original Deep Green color with Yellow two tone & original decals.Paint has some expected signs of aging, but still in pretty good original condition for its age. Has some Expected sporadic surface scuffs/chips in the paint and perhaps some faint fade to the yellow, paint chipped by head/top tube, but the deep gree...n still shines real good, love the green color, no damage to the frame. Original Badge shows some wear.Original seat has obvious wear on the nose but still shows the decal, though it’s faded, the seat is still good with no dry rotting or crusting, good chrome sissy bar. Chaingaurd is in pretty nice condition with some fade/scuffs, good original pedals though some expected aging. Original yellow Schwinn grips show some aging/fade but not sticky or frail.Original chrome on the bike still shines real nice for the most part, nice clean crankset, nice clean solid chrome fenders, rear is original, front appears not but still nice. Clean original Schwinn Tubular rims, no “corrosion” or major pit, nice clean handlebars with little faint peppering perhaps. All would clean up nice.Wheels spin pretty good, though as expected, not perfect, but no “major”wobble, usable as is. The front has some loose spokes, rear is missing one spoke and couple loose, but still spins pretty good, tighten those up and it should spin true straight. Bendix coaster works, rear original Stingray Gripper slik shows some expected weathering/wear/cracking/aging but holds air and has center tread still. Front original Schwinn Westwind tire has some aging/weathering, but holds air with tread yet. Both should last awhile yet if not a long distance daily ride.The bike is ready to ride, fun cruising bike that gets the looks.
