Key is included with purchase.This captivating composition Alice in Wonderland doll with the Margaret face was manufactured in the 18” size for one year only: 1948 to 1949. She does have fine crazing on her face and light crazing on her legs, and rubs at especially one leg joint. There is also a small chip out of the heel on her left foot. (See in photos.) Her cor...nflower blue dress has retained its color beautifully. Her pinafore is white and crisp w/fairly unnoticeable small-to tiny holes, one in the bodice, four in the apron, and several in the sash. Her beautiful blonde human hair wig is in fabulous shape, but a replacement, I believe. Her eyelet-edged petticoat is attached to the skirt of the dress and her original pantaloons close with a snap at the back. I am not sure if the shoes are original as there are no heels on the soles, although the side snaps and bows are signs that they might be. Her white stockings are replacements. I have lightly rouged and sealed her hands, elbows, knees and cheeks to restore life to her faded and pale pigment. Her lashes are full and perfect. Her eyes are clear and grey in color. She is in good shape for her age. Composition dolls never acquire an odor like the hard plastic dolls can, however it is more difficult for them to remain completely without crazing except in the very best of circumstances.
