This auction listing features a very golden orange and highly detailed non-cut petrified wood agatized jasperized (xyloid) limb / trunk specimen originating from Hampton Butte in Central Oregon approximately 60 miles East of Bend! This is an unusually large specimen and it weighs in excess of 7 pounds! The petrified wood specimen has all natural exterior bark along the limb and natural termination on both ends. Remarkably, ring structure and growth grains are visible upon exterior of t...he specimen and, although highly agatized, it appears that cellular replacement by mineralization has occurred! The large display specimen measures 139mm by 114mm by 140mm. All photographs taken while the specimen was wet excluding the final three photographs which show the fossil wood while dry. I will combine shipping for multiple purchases as long as the specimens can be packaged in a manner that minimizes the potential for damage.
