DRAKE MALLARD IN ORIGINAL STRUCTURAL CONDITION AS WELL AS PAINT. WILLIAM SHAW, LACON, ILLINOIS, (1849-1927). HAS ALL THE SHAW CHARACTERISTICS INCLUDING FLUTED TAIL, COMB PAINTING, DETAILED BILL CARVING, GLASS SHOW BUTTON EYES, HOLLOW TWO PIECE CONSTRUCTION MADE OF PINE . THE BOTTOM IS ROUNDED AND IS APPROX. 15" LONG BY 5" IN WIDTH AT THE WIDEST POINT. SIMILAR TO THE LANE FAMILY OF CARVERS, NICE DRY PAINT ILLINOIS RIVER EXAMPLE.
