Offered... a stunning pair of Navajo combs each with three glorious natural mine turquoise stones which seem to be Morenci mine stones, and hand stamp work throughout the silver, with long twisted wire pointy tips that should hold very well in a hair braid or bun. There are three or four different crescent shaped stamps used, representing the moon, and one sun stamp used on each of them. The scalloped shape and the stamp work are wonderful as is the brilliant turquoise. The ov...erall look reminds me of the old Spanish hair ornaments.These are wonderful mid-century pieces and they are great collectibles. They measure about 5-1/4" high and about 1-3/4" wide. They weigh 19.1grams and 19.4grams respectively; because they are hand made and not machine made they will vary from each other in small details. Condition is excellent, vintage, wearable and very collectible. They are unsigned as is usually the case and not marked for silver content but are sterling silver. I think you'll always enjoy these exceptionally beautiful pieces as I do. It is rare to have a pair. The hand stamp work is unique to this pair. Yes, museum worthy.
