Welcome! I offer for your consideration a rare example of a well documented design of a ring signed by the very famous couple, Lee and Mary Weebothee, exceptional Zuni artists. I have never seen documented or in person, one made of this stone and shell combination. The coral snake eye stones, set in serrated bezels, have more soft pink than the pictures display and the mother of peal rectangular shaped mosaic inlay is more iridescent that the pictures display. There are fine twisted wi...res between each level and the dimensionality of the ring is rare and is beautiful, while it is a simple and elegant design. This ring is a sizable size 7 and is in excellent vintage, wearable and collectible condition. It sits high on the finger and the diameter is about 13/16". The shank is attached in the characteristic manner this couple used which I think deters it from turning on the finger.These two artists were among the most important Zuni artists. Both are deceased. Lee was the brother of Leonard Weebothee and Fannie Ondelacy, lived from 1929 till 2016, and Mary Chico lived from 1933-1995. They created their own style of jewelry work and this design of theirs is well documented in at least one book but not this combination of stones which I believe is very rare if not unique to this ring. This couple was inducted into the Arizona Highways Hall of Fame and their work is justifiably valued very highly. A ring like this in all coral is being offered without offers at $1200 right now.
