Vintage 1954 RCA Portable Tube Radio.
This set has the “indestructible IMPAC case”, and is a model 6-BX-6 This set is in very good condition, only a few minor scratches and dings, which is just from regular use and love. I tested this set on a bench power supply, it only goes up to 40 volts, and this set requires a 67.5 volt battery. I also put in to 1.5 volt c batteries at the “A” battery, since I didn’t have enough voltage, it woke up, but didn’t perform very well, bu...t it will with the correct battery.
I heard some stations like WCBS 880 and 77 WABC (stronger stations in my area) but the volume wasn’t great, because I didn’t have enough power to it.
It should work fine if you get the right battery, which is available on eBay and Amazon.I will pack it very well
