This auction is for an Excellent Extremely Rare CHARLES POTTER TORONTO Surveyor Transit Theodolite with period Brass Tripod and original case. This amazing instrument is complete and working! The fine engineering and machining is evident throughout. As you can see from internet searches, examples of Potters work are not available to the public, with examples being held by many Universities and Museums.
The tripod does not have the adapter to attach the instrument.&n...bsp; It is photographed sitting on top unattached. The signature photograph is with the glass removed for a better image.
