If you are new to fluorescent minerals or stamp tagging, the use of shortwave filtered ultraviolet is a must. Filtered means there is a optical glass filter to block out the visible light generated by the fluorescent bulb. Our lamps INCLUDE the expensive optical filter you need to block out the visible light that is made by the bulb. Unscrupulous Chinese sellers try and sell these lamps without the filter.
