Original one-of-a kind Production Cel from Walt Disney Television animated series "The Little Mermaid" which aired for 3 seasons from 1992 to 1994. Includes Certificate of Authenticity and Portfolio Envelope. The unframed cel of Ariel and King Triton is hand-painted (King Triton on one layer, Ariel on another), they are attached to a print which was used in the production of the TV show (back of print has 13-MER-270, Lot #18). Two acetate layers with hand-painting hav...e notch in bottom right corner outside background border (originally sold this way, see detail photo). Writing along the top front edges of the background print (BG 344 and initials) is original to the piece. Top right corner of background print, the border has a fold mark (mark is not on acetate cel or portfolio envelope and does not extend into the main image) most likely occurred in production. Tape along top edges is also original to production art and has not been added. This item has been stored in a smoke-free, climate controlled environment away from sunlight in its original portfolio and has never been framed or displayed. Main image within the background border is 11 inches by 8-3/4 inches. (Outer edges of acetate and background art is 13-3/4 inches by 11 inches.)
