Original Description:
   This is a circa 1930's Bell System Rotary Dial Telephone made by Western Electric. It is a Type 202 Telephone that has an oval metal base with an F1 Bakelite Handset that was part of an estate collection of old telephones. It measures 5-1/2" high and is 9" wide and has a Western Electric date stamp of "IV 35" on the inside of the base. This would indicate it was made in the fourth quarter of 1935. The dial has a nice click, click, click when turned and the receiv...er mechanism springs up nicely when the handset is lifted. This phone is untested as the line cord has been clipped off and I am unable to hook it up. The coiled handset cord has some frayed areas and both of the screw-on earpiece and mouthpiece covers have some missing "chunks" in the middle (photos 7, 8 and 9). Overall it's a really nice old phone, very collectible and a great decor/conversation piece.   Thanks for looking and please check my other listings for more unusual and unique items.
