Uwe Jopp is one of my favorite carvers out of Germany and well known for his superb shapes, incredible grain, and exceptional engineering. This is one of his signature shapes I believe he calls the "Flowfish" and is a gem indeed. It has a big almost Egg shaped bowl with a a wavy crease down one side that extends to the shank. It spots a crisp rim leading to a deep but relatively modest chamber for its size. The shank is massive, a really unique shape and is extended by a real piece of ...horn that holds the ebonite fishtail stem. The red blast is very fine and remarkable showing uniform ring grain and birdseye pockets throughout. An awesome pipe from Uwe Jopp this one simply will not disappoint!

Condition: Excellent, near mint! Some very slight wear on the horn at the mortise. Weight: 88g
