It is simply marked 925 STERLING in the American manner with the figure 9 within a square. We believe it was made in America and exported for sale at around the 1900s. Slightly larger than usual, it is designed for the pocket of a waistcoat at one end of a pocket watch chain. It is a flat rectangular box with a snap action lid and ...a strike groove at the base. It has jump ring fitting to one sideThe front and back have an embossed relief portrait Edward VII in military uniform with military orders and regalia against a stippled background. The edges have a smooth polished silver finish. The holder is in good antique condition, some loving rub wear to the medals and orders, and a warm patina.
