Seeing many people are home this year we decided to host a large two-week holiday special estate auction! We have been working hard over the last month putting together several amazing estate collections that we will be offering over the next month.&n...bsp;
Joanies is excited to be offering two large family estate collections. The first family lived in Shanghai and came to Canada c1932, the second family in c1960 bring a vast amount of family items with them at the time so the provenance is very good. We have offered a large amount of items from the second family’s collection already that brought great interest. We thought this estate was complete until we got a call that the garage was also full of boxes packed away and never opened since 1960! This is now for certain the last estate sale from the family.
Over the past 20 years Joanies has hosted Hundreds of estate auctions, auctioning upwards of one hundred thousand fine estate items during this time. And during this entire time, Joanie's has Never had a Reserve on one item ever! We take great pride in only offering fine quality and authentic fresh to market estate items that we know have been with families for decades or generations. Up for auction is a FINE 18/19THC CHINESE BLUE WHITE & COPPER RED LANDSCAPE PORCELAIN SNUFF BOTTLE. A fine quality example finely painted all around with a large landscape design and unique copper-red underglazed features. We believe more than likely dating to the 18th century, to be perfectly safe for the auction offering as 18th to 19th century. The snuff bottle still has old snuff powder inside!
Condition: Very fine estate-fresh condition with no chips cracks or repairs. UV light reveals no hidden damage. The bottle also sits perfectly straight and stable on its foot.
Size: The bottle measures 3 1/2 inches tall by 1 1/8 inches wide. The bottle including lid measures 4 inches tall.
