Here is an attractive pair of finequality English Georgian Regency style yew and walnut Bachelor serpentine chestof drawers, circa 1970, in excellent original condition. The chests feature a classic Georgian style serpentine design, with awalnut frame. The tops incorporatelovely figured yew veneers, surrounded by ebony style string inlay and yew crossbanding. The chests feature fourmahogany lined, dovetailed drawers with cock-beaded frames, decorated with yewveneers, ebony string inlay and further yew cross banding. The drawers also incorporate classic Georgianstyle brass swan neck handles, secured by shaped escutcheons. The chests are raised on Georgian bracketfeet. This pair of chests would look greatin a variety of rooms from the living room as lamp tables, or the bedroom asbedsides. They are an extremely useful pair of chests to have in the house. The chests boast a warm mellow colour with a lovely patination to the timber. Condition Report:
This pair of chests is in excellent original condition. They have been French polished and the handlescleaned in our workshops. There are nomarks, scratches or stains to the tops of the chests. Nominal old use marks to the leading edges andinside drawer bottoms but nothing significant considering the age of the item. The items are completely original. The drawers are free running and close flushto the frame. All brassware is inexcellent condition and is present. These bedsides are solid in joint; they do notwobble and are ready to use. Dimensions:
