It's addressed to William Eppley, a well-known farmer who had 2 sons that owned a... grocery store. Mr. Eppley died in 1910. This crate has not seen daylight since the1920s and originally had 240 packs (30 pounds) of Mail Pouch tobacco inside, before it was used for moving and storage. There is overall wear to the wood and paper label. The paper is baked crisp from almost 100 years of summer heat in the attic. We have only been able to find a few examples of this crate and they were in very bad condition. See photos and send us a message if you have any questions.
Measures about 23-1/2" x 17" x 18"
Note: the photo of the inside of the crate shows some of the authentic attic debris that was in the box when we found it. We will vacuum the box before shipping.
