Here we have for auction a Hardy Perfect 4 ½" Fishing Reel...
Smooth ebonite handle which turn freely set to nickel cup.Blue steel callipers, pawls & check gear - tips retaining well.Embossed revolving nickel line guard, turning freely!3 x screw nickel latch connecting as it should.Dished spool with correct anti-clockwise spool screw.Ribbed brass riveted set foot...good patina - measures 3½" Wide drum model 2 ¼"Turns freely without any bind or rub, the cons...tant check sounds a delightful click on the turn - good strong check!Embossed nickel rim tension screw applying tension as it should.Free from line grooves, corrosion, fractures or wobble...Retaining the original finish very well indeed...a fine example! Stamped to the face with the Hardy details. Cleaned, lubricated & oiled...ready for the rod!Lovely piece of angling history!All as per pictures!
