A stunning vintage black lacquer cabinet in the Chinoiserie Oriental motif made by Drexel! This particular cabinet is marked as and was made for the storage of your precious sterling and plated silver pieces, but could also be used to house collections of any kind, or your most precious jewelry items! High relief artwork on the main drawer below and on both doors. Art extends to both sides, with quality brass handles and stenciling of the drawers inside as well. Cabinet measures about ...46 1/2-in tall by 26 1/4-in wide by 16-in deep. All drawers and storage areas are felt lined! Main drawer is wide open. Inside the cabinet, two top and bottom drawers have flatware inserts with anti-tarnish covers. Six smaller drawers and center storage cubby are all wide open. Cabinet was not in fabulous shape upon our purchase. We did some color touch-ups and one veneer repair on the right side, right next to the rear leg. We then wet sanded the entire cabinet and applied a new coat of gloss lacquer. One more light sanding and a second coat of lacquer and you get a beautiful but far from perfect, unique piece of furniture that will complement any décor and would serve as a focal point in any collection!
