...Yes it will be squeaking in the video below but please have mercy on me because it is really cold where the chair is being stored and it has not been used in years, This recording was the first time it had been used in years. It probably needs not wd-40 but a professional grade lubricant or the right kind of lubricant to be sprayed on some of the working parts or it just might need to be place in a heated room.

1960 THEO A KOCHS MARK I
The build date for this chair was June 16, 1960.
You are bidding on a piece of American history as this chair was manufactured in Chicago, Illinois and had been originally mailed or shipped to Baltimore, MD.
This is a professionally reupholstered barber chair. It was originally marble green and the arms, seat, and back have been reupholstered in a professional black vinyl. The headrest, calf rest, footrest / shoe shine table and lower back are still the original green marble vinyl.
Everything works on this chair and it is very sturdy. The seat cushion locks in place and does not wiggle. The arm rests are very strong. None of the major functional components to this chair are loose nor do they rattle. All expensive internal parts are in very good working condition. This chair is very clean. I have left the original paper documentation attached to the bottom of the seat cushion and it will be up to your own discretion on whether or not you want to remove them and store them in a plastic bag. I believe the arm rests and the seat cushion are still the original equipment manufacturers wood and they are in very good condition. They do not have any mold or mildew nor does it give off a fowl odor or bad scent.
Mechanically this chair is in excellent condition. The pump works, the locking mechanism works, the reclining feature works, & this chair can hold weight. Pump somebody all the way up in the fully reclined position while you are doing a straight razor shave.
This barber chair has the round hook to attach a leather strop to sharpen a straight razor and the rectangular shaped rod is to hang your folded barber or hair cutting cape. The chrome square underneath the chair is a hanger that you can slide the head rest into for storage.
This barber chair is probably a chair that your father will remember sitting in as a child to get his hair cut or trimmed in the 1960's. This would be a great addition to your family room, private office, man cave, basement, garage, salon, barber shop, barber school, cosmetology school, hair cut franchise, tattoo parlor, local museum, theme park, restaurant, waiting room, business, vacation home, apartment, and so many more furniture uses of this item. This is a great piece to have for family pictures or to use to cut or style your own families hair. Buy it to lounge in it!
BUY THIS AS A GIFT FOR YOUR BARBER, HAIR STYLIST, FAMILY, OR FRIENDS.

The bad aspects of this chair:
1.) One of the nail heads has fallen off and you can glue it back one.
2.) There is one noticeable rust spot on the base of this chair that you can keep hidden by having that part of the base behind the chair or underneath of the foot rest.
3.) The front green marble vinyl foot rest cover is loose, but this is not a major issue and I have left it up to you on how you would like to fix it. either glue it as is or carefully pluck it off to determine how to professionally repair it.
