Antique Cantagalli Albarello Maiolica Lamp Base Hispano Moresque
Item: A wonderful antique Italian Cantagalli majolica lamp or possible a a converted into a lamp base. It is beautifully decorated in a copper lustre over blue ground in the style of 15th Century Spanish pieces referred to as Hispano Moresque.
Cockerel stamp to base.
Date: 1891+
Measurements:
h.- 22.5 cm, 225 mm.
Condition Report: Good condition for age though does have some chips around th...e drill hole for the lead (as shown) also the top is rough and unglazed (as shown) possibly would have held another piece to the top? as shown it still displays very well.
