~ FOR YOUR CONSIDERATION ~"A Night To Remember" by Walter Lord, First edition, with dustjacket, 1955..........along withA signed postcard from famed Titanic author Walter Lord to his friend, Robert Forrest. Both men were Titanic enthusiasts and collectors, who contributed to various publications concerning the ill-fated ship. The postcard (depicting Titanic on the front) has a 15-cent stamp and a postmark of June 8, 1990.I’m also including a copy of “Memories of t...he Olympic”, two pages written by Lord and also sent to Forrest under separate cover, and a one-page announcement of Walter Lord’s memorial.Walter Lord, of course, is best known by his seminal work "A Night to Remember" - first published in 1955. The award-winning book brought new attention to the construction, sailing and sinking of RMS Titanic in 1912.....attention that has not waned since its publication.
